For previsualizations I'm using Cinema 4D and Cine Designer plugin designed by Matt Workman. I'm constantly learning and adding new techniques to my previsualization work.
I believe that previsualization is taking my work to a new level and it helps the whole crew to achieve the common goal in the production.
Here are a few examples of how I have used previsualization in my work.
Previsualization was used to get sense of the length of a shot for individual setups. The shoot was aboard, so previsualization was useful tool for communication with the local crew.
The Hobby Hall Christmas commercial contained several VFX parts. Previsualisation helped a lot communication with the VFX supervisor and with the director. It was also useful for getting the sense of the time what the camera movement would take and finding spots where to hide the lights.
My previsualisation started conversations in the pre-production, that otherwaise have come up later on the set taking time from the actual shoot.
The Lähitapiola commercial had restrictions at the location. Just the right amount of space was needed for the camera to move so that we would be able to see everything in the frame. Previsualization helped us to choose the correct lenses for the scenes and was a great tool for finding out all these details before the shoot.
Previsualization for the lighting style and measurements for the projector placement, lighting and the walls.
